have stayed at the Halekulani many times over the past few years but this is my first review. The property is beautiful and a peaceful oasis in the midst of Waikiki. Most, if not all, of the rooms were upgraded during Covid the decor is fresh and serene. The sheets are incredible. The food is excellent at Orchids and cocktails at House without a Key is a must for anyone visiting Honolulu. However, what really distinguishes Halekulani is the exceptional service, so much so that I have become to take it for granted. From the time you arrive the doormen greet and take care of you, the front desk is efficient and friendly, and housekeeping is totally flexible and excellent in all that they do. I would like to share two recent experiences to demonstrate the impeccable service. Earlier this week, I checked out and was nearly to the airport when I realized I had left my ipad. I called the concierge, and Daryce and housekeeping leapt into action. Within minutes they had found the ipad and worked with the bellmen to have a taxi (known to the bellmen) to bring the ipad to me at the airport. This was all accomplished in a seamless fashion within less than an hour! Last month, I stayed at the property and was notified around 9 pm that I had been exposed to Covid earlier in the day. I called the front desk and the manager secured a covid test and consoled me that if I had to isolate they would work with me. Luckily, I tested negative and could depart the next day as planned. I am reminded that there are less expensive places to stay in Waikiki but none can match the exceptional service and true graciousness of the Halekulani. I am a tough grader but highly recommend this lovely property.

What a memorable property! Great location- sleek w/ traditional Hawaiian flair. Rooms are lovely, well-appointed with amenities to make your stay pleasant i.e. Nespresso machine, bath products, robes, turndown service, etc. Rooms have lovely views of the Ocean or Diamond Head. Pool is quite the oasis with food/beverage/chair service. Carlos & Kawalo right there to help in any way! "Room without a Key" is a lovely breakfast/lunch venue that offers an extensive buffet breakfast catering to all American and Asian tastes. The staff is professional, warm and inviting. Thank you Mariah, Beth, Jan & Guy! Daily Hawaiian music and dance under the Banyon Tree. Other fine restaurants include Orchids & La Mer. Complimentary coffee every morning. Lovely public areas, restaurants and prime location. Breathtaking views of Diamond Head and the Ocean. Not inexpensive, but quite the experience. Hotel could only get better with a quiet- "adult only" pool section without the kids.

Wonderful getaway for our anniversary. This hotel was perfect in every way. The staff were attentive and full of aloha. They have a wonderful salt water pool we enjoyed and the food was top notch. We ate at Orchids and had delicious Hawaiian sea bass and sashimi and polished off the moist and delicious coconut cake(the best I HAVE EVER HAD!!). At Le Mer, we ordered the Salade de Verdure, Filet of Boeuf and the Souffle Vanille that came with 3 decadent homemade sauces. Both meals were enjoyed and the staff pampered us. Make sure you ask for an Ocean front room that has an amazing view of Diamond Head.

Stunning. Beautiful. Perfect!! My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights of our honeymoon and decided to switch hotels for a change of scenery when we extended our honeymoon 3 more nights (HUGE mistake!) The service is incredible. As soon as we entered our room, there was champagne and fresh fruit waiting for us. Everyone we came across was so kind and pleasant, from valet to the poolside servers to housekeeping. They really go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The location is great. It feels a little more private than other hotels in the area and has its own beach which was super nice. Room service was quick and delicious, House Without a Key was delicious, and the drinks and dessert at Lewers Lounge were delicious. We went to the jazz club at Lewers Lounge two nights in a row and the entertainment was spectacular. We are currently at the second hotel of our stay with two nights left to go. We cannot stop saying how it was a mistake to not just stay at the Halekulani the entire time. We can't wait to be back!
